About The Role

Edelman is looking for a Senior Account Manager, Technology to join our growing team in a seconded role embedded full-time within one of our high-profile clients. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and execute strategic communications programs at the heart of the client’s organization, while remaining closely connected to the Edelman network.

You’ll be responsible for delivering strategic counsel, high-quality execution, and strong relationship management across technology-focused communications initiatives from thought leadership and media engagement to campaign planning and stakeholder comms.

What You'll do?

  • Work directly within the client environment, managing and executing integrated communications strategies aligned with business goals and timelines
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for internal stakeholders on all comms and campaign activity
  • Translate complex technology concepts into accessible, engaging messaging for various audiences (public, media, policymakers, B2B, etc.)
  • Draft and edit high-impact content including press releases, briefing documents, key messages, speeches, and social media copy
  • Support media relations and press engagement strategies, cultivating strong local and regional journalist relationships
  • Partner with client-side teams across strategy, brand, digital, and marketing to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Manage multiple workstreams, deliverables, and timelines with strong attention to detail
  • Serve as a conduit between Edelman and the client team to ensure collaboration and resource access


Who you are?

  • A communications professional with 5–7 years of experience, ideally in technology, innovation, or government-led transformation sectors
  • Adept at working independently while navigating large, complex organizations
  • A confident and concise communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • A skilled writer with the ability to simplify technical information without losing nuance
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused — you get things done while building trust


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an agency or in-house role focused on technology or innovation
  • Experience managing integrated campaigns and stakeholder engagement programs
  • Media relations expertise, with understanding of local/regional tech or business press
  • Familiarity with smart cities, AI, mobility, data policy, or digital transformation topics
  • Experience in secondment or consultancy-style roles is a plus
