Job Description

As a Retail Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving sales performance and customer satisfaction within a retail environment. You will lead, motivate, and develop your sales team, empowering them to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring exceptional customer service. Your keen eye for retail trends and consumer behavior will guide the strategic planning of sales initiatives and promotions. By analyzing sales data, you will identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies to enhance product offerings and store layouts. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the retail sales team to achieve sales targets consistently.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and propose actionable improvements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service and feedback.
  • Organize regular training sessions for staff to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control and ordering.
  • Maintain store standards and oversee visual merchandising efforts to attract customers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the sales team.
  • Build productive relationships with customers to encourage loyalty and retention.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and legislation.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports and present findings to senior management regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in retail sales management with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and staff.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Flexible schedule to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in retail management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult customer situations effectively.
