Job Description

As a Retail Banking Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and profitability of retail banking activities. Positioned as a crucial link between the bank and its clients, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with prospective and existing customers. Your primary focus will be on understanding their financial needs and advising them on a suitable mix of banking products and services. This role demands a strong sales acumen, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to achieve aggressive sales targets. In addition to front-facing customer interaction, you will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless service delivery, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction and retention.


Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients and assess their banking needs and preferences.
  • Promote various retail banking products including savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and boost revenue.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance client service delivery.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends and client preferences in retail banking.
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations and standards while handling sales activities.
  • Participate in networking activities to build a substantial client base for the bank.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to management showcasing progress and sales achievements.
  • Engage in continuous learning about financial products to provide accurate and current advice.
  • Assist in resolving client issues and ensuring overall client satisfaction with banking services.
  • Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure optimal customer retention and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a sales or customer service role within the banking industry.
  • Strong knowledge of retail banking products and financial services offered by banks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment and meet sales goals consistently.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify customer needs and solutions.
