Responsibilities

• Operate and drive pickup vehicles for deliveries within the scheduled timeline.
• Load and unload goods or packages safely and efficiently from the vehicle.
• Plan routes ahead of time to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle for safety.
• Ensure that delivery paperwork is completed accurately and handed over in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations to maintain a clean driving record.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries or issues professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle both inside and out at all times.
• Report any vehicle issues or accidents to the supervisor immediately and follow procedures.
• Ensure proper loading techniques to prevent damage to goods during transit.
• Utilize navigation tools to effectively route and deliver packages to various destinations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past three years.
• Proven experience as a pickup driver or in a similar delivery role.
• Strong knowledge of local roadways and traffic regulations is essential.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and sit for long periods while driving.
