Job Description

The Restaurant Supervisor is an integral part of the daily operations within the dining establishment, responsible for ensuring a high standard of customer service and efficiency in restaurant operations. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage, train, and support all restaurant staff. The Restaurant Supervisor will oversee the coordination of activities on the floor, maintain inventory control, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Responsibilities

  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff to enhance their performance and professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations within the establishment.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback to achieve high standards of guest satisfaction.
  • Facilitate effective communication between kitchen staff, service crew, and management.
  • Plan and organize staff schedules to meet business needs and allocate resources effectively.
  • Maintain restaurant inventory, handling procurement and supply orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Monitor the restaurant's financial performance, track key performance indicators, and manage budgets.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop strategies for increasing customer engagement and sales.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of customer service to ensure a memorable dining experience.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to operational standards.
  • Assist in organizing and managing events or special functions within the restaurant premises.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a focus on team development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Proficiency with restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions efficiently.
