Job Description

A Recruitment Officer plays a pivotal role in the success of an organization by managing and overseeing the hiring process. This position entails identifying potential candidates, conducting interviews, and facilitating the onboarding process. Recruitment Officers work closely with hiring managers to develop job descriptions that attract the right candidates and align with the company’s needs and goals. They utilize various recruiting sources such as job boards, social media, and professional networks to attract qualified applicants. In addition to possessing strong communication and organizational skills, Recruitment Officers must stay informed about employment laws and trends to ensure compliance and implement best practices. This role demands an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruiting plans tailored to organizational needs and goals.
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements and job specifications.
  • Create and publish job descriptions and advertisements on relevant platforms.
  • Source potential candidates utilizing social media platforms and professional networks.
  • Screen applicant resumes promptly and schedule interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable recruiting and selection tools and methods.
  • Coordinate and organize interview schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to management regularly.
  • Negotiate salary and other employment terms with successful candidates when necessary.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience through respectful and prompt communication.
  • Maintain recruitment database and accurate records for reporting purposes.
  • Stay updated on labor legislation and inform management on legal hiring requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Recruitment Officer or similar role within a business setting.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and legislation compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for candidate and client interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple vacancies and projects adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
