Job Description

As a Radiology Technologist, you play a vital role in the healthcare industry by performing diagnostic imaging examinations to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. You will work closely with radiologists, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a focus on patient care and privacy. Responsibilities

  • Operate imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI units efficiently.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.
  • Follow precise instruction from radiologists to capture accurate diagnostic images.
  • Ensure radiation safety measures are adhered to for patient and staff protection.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, ensuring confidentiality and integrity.
  • Assist with the interpretation of imaging results in collaboration with radiologists.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report any technical malfunctions promptly.
  • Educate patients and their families on the imaging processes and what to expect during procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control programs for imaging procedures.
  • Stay updated with industry advancements, attending training sessions as required.
  • Provide emergency assistance in the radiology department as necessitated by patient needs.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to schedule imaging procedures effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or higher in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in a clinical radiology setting with proven technical proficiencies.
  • Proficient in using radiographic equipment and understanding imaging protocols.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, with a strong focus on patient care and communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Strong commitment to following health, safety, and privacy regulations in all procedures.
