Job Title: Production Manager (Packaging and Printing)

Role Summary:
The role is responsible of identifying and implementing efficiency improvement initiatives, quality complaints reduction and process automation opportunities. You will focus on creating opportunities for various Production aspects, such as resource optimization, cost reduction, technological advancement, efficiency improvement, quality control, team’s training and process automation.
The position is responsible for resource planning and optimization, review and establish plans and strategies to uplift operations, training and mentoring the team, product development & Innovation support, implementing and directing the production activities of the company in a designated area to achieve the production objectives. Leading the team in assigned area of operations by establishing goals and monitoring the growth and progress reports which is essential in determining potentials of the team in production improvement. You should develop techniques to address the resource optimization targets, quality improvement and arrange technical trainings, expand to maintain the targeted objectives in order to uplift the day-to-day operation of the production department. Including but not limited to resource planning and acquiring, SOPs updation, efficiency improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, technology advancement & automation, technical presentation, product compliance and reporting to the management.

Main Job Tasks And Responsibilities
Lead, initiate, plan, and execute manufacturing operations for resource optimization and cost reduction
Ensure business objectives and production schedules are met while exceeding product standards
Direct and maintain optimum daily production of the manufacturing plant
Develop and implement efficient strategies to meet production goals with minimal costs
Plan, analyze, and review benchmarks to ensure OEE accomplishment
Lead Production, Planning, Engineering, Design Center & Prepress teams
Establish accountabilities across departments for problem-solving and cost reduction
Encourage new techniques and fact-based problem-solving
Review and update SOPs to enhance efficiency and reduce quality issues
Maximize manpower utilization and ensure succession planning
Manage spending within budget and align with production volumes
Coordinate with finance on budgeting, costing, and variance analysis
Ensure effective administration of collective bargaining agreements and timely resolution of grievances
Improve safety records through both physical safety measures and staff awareness
Conduct risk assessments and ensure HSE compliance
Provide technical and administrative guidance for efficient and cost-effective production
Offer technical support for understanding customer requirements in new/revised projects
Stay updated on latest production concepts and maintain relevant skills
Ensure compliance with all contractual and statutory requirements
Uphold company policies and promote cooperation among internal and external stakeholders
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Reporting Authority
Timely Job Functions & Errands
Guide and motivate subordinates towards achieving objectives
Handle additional tasks assigned by management
Conduct scheduled and emergency meetings as required
Develop strategies to enhance department performance and employee productivity
Cooperate with overtime or holiday work requirements
Train subordinates to act as relievers or backups
Monitor and establish production capacity
Coordinate recruitment, training, and employee development
Education & Experience
Diploma / B.E. in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or Printing Technology
12+ years in high-volume production (offset printing & packaging)
8+ years in managerial roles
Excellent English communication skills
Experience in machinery acquisition and installation
Proficiency in reading technical documents, engineering drawings, and regulations
Strong problem-solving under pressure
Skilled in analytics, negotiation, and interpersonal communication
Knowledge of operational excellence tools
Orientation and ISO-related training attended
