The Payments Product Owner is a critical role responsible for driving the strategic vision and execution of payment products within the organization. This individual will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of payment solutions, ensuring products meet the needs of the market and deliver exceptional value to customers. The Payments Product Owner will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to develop innovative payment solutions that align with the company's goals. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the payments industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach. They must possess the ability to balance strategic thinking with meticulous attention to detail to ensure the successful delivery of payment products.
Responsibilities
Define and communicate the vision and strategy for payment products to align with company objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and prioritize product roadmaps and backlogs.
Lead requirements gathering sessions to understand customer needs and market trends.
Work with engineering teams to ensure timely and quality delivery of payment solutions.
Analyze and monitor the performance of payment products post-launch to identify areas for improvement.
Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate product updates effectively across the organization.
Stay current with industry trends and competitor offerings to inform product development strategies.
Create and maintain detailed product documentation to support internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines applicable to payment solutions.
Develop go-to-market strategies and positioning to drive product adoption and customer engagement.
Conduct research and analysis to support data-driven decision-making in product management.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with product delivery and market entry.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field required.
Minimum of five years' experience in product management within the payments industry.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing payment products.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data-driven insights effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a keen eye for detail.
In-depth understanding of payment systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
