Job Description

The role of a Procurement Executive in the automotive industry is critical to a company's operational efficiency and profitability. As a Procurement Executive, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality automotive materials, parts, and services at competitive prices. You are tasked with maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and optimizing procurement processes to reduce costs and enhance the supply chain. This position requires a detailed understanding of market dynamics and trends, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage and analyze procurement data. Ideally, you will have experience within the automotive sector, enabling you to understand the specific demands and nuances of this fast-paced and ever-evolving industry. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives and supply chain goals.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure advantageous terms for the company.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and benchmark pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, and cost criteria are met consistently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand material requirements and forecasting needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Manage risk by ensuring all procurement activities adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize inventory management to minimize costs while ensuring stock levels meet production demands.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier management and procurement processes.
  • Coordinate and facilitate effective communication between internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Analyze bids and proposals to determine the best value procurement option for the company.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members or newly appointed procurement personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier relationships.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and trends.
  • Proficient in procurement software and systems, with a good command of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines consistently.
