Job Description

As a Procurement Executive in the automotive sector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient sourcing and supply of products and services necessary for vehicle production and operation. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the company while maintaining quality standards. You will need to understand the nuances of the automotive industry, including current market trends, regulations, and technologies. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments. Your efforts will directly impact the supply chain efficiency and overall success of the company.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with potential and existing suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor market trends and emerging technologies in the automotive industry.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and manufacturing teams to understand material requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in procurement processes.
  • Manage supplier performance through regular evaluation and feedback mechanisms.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to supplier contracts or deliveries promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and provide regular reports to management.
  • Develop risk management strategies related to supply chain disruptions.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in the automotive industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience in contract management and supplier relations.
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain management and logistics principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards in automotive procurement.
