Job Description

As a Procurement Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the supply chain strategy of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing our company's procurement activities while ensuring that necessary goods, services, and equipment are purchased at optimum costs. Your role involves strategizing to find cost-effective deals, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and negotiating contracts. With your keen eye for detail and strong understanding of the market, you will ensure that our procurement processes are efficient, saving the company money while ensuring product quality. You will work closely with different departments to determine their product and service needs, ensure timely delivery of supplies, and maintain inventory levels aligned with company policies and market needs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with company goals.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with reliable and trustworthy suppliers.
  • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ascertain procurement needs and specifications.
  • Manage the supply chain to ensure timely and accurate delivery of ordered goods.
  • Analyze market trends to optimize procurement decisions and strategies.
  • Prepare and manage procurement budgets to ensure spending effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Evaluate supplier performances and develop plans for improvement or change if necessary.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all procurement documentation and activities.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and control to minimize shortages and overstock situations.
  • Lead and mentor procurement team members to enhance their professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience of at least three years in the procurement or supply chain field.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and gain buy-in.
  • Excellent analytical skills for evaluating suppliers and market conditions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with procurement software systems and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
