Job Description

A Presales Engineer plays a vital role in the sales cycle, often holding responsibilities that bridge the gap between the technical understanding and sales strategy. As a Presales Engineer, you will work collaboratively with the sales team to deliver persuasive presentations, demonstrations, and solutions to potential customers. This position requires a robust combination of technical knowledge, customer-service insight, and business acumen to turn potential leads into long-standing partners. Your expertise will be integral in developing custom solutions for clients, preparing for presentations, and ensuring that the technical needs of prospective clients are understood and addressed. With a focus on providing excellent support to the sales team, you will enable the company to achieve its sales targets more effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with the sales team to understand and analyze customer requirements.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support and guidance to potential and existing clients.
  • Develop tailor-made solutions to meet the specific needs of prospective customers.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations to showcase product solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth technical product demonstrations to highlight the benefits and functionalities.
  • Work closely with the product management team to provide feedback on product improvements.
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to requests for information and proposals.
  • Design and develop custom proof-of-concept demonstrations and prototypes for clients.
  • Make recommendations to customers for optimizing product functionality and performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge about industry technologies and competitors’ offerings.
  • Engage in continuous education and training to stay current with emerging technologies.
  • Build and sustain long-term relationships with clients through exceptional service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a presales or technical consulting role.
  • Strong understanding and experience with relevant technical systems and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across multiple departments.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing customer challenges.
  • Proficiency with technical documentation and translating complex ideas into layman’s terms.
