Job Description

The Planning Manager - Infrastructure plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing the strategic planning and execution of infrastructure projects. This position demands an experienced leader who can handle complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the highest quality standards. The Planning Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to align project objectives with organizational goals. Furthermore, this role requires strong analytical skills to evaluate project plans, manage risks, and implement effective solutions. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in infrastructure and a proven track record of managing large-scale projects successfully.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are accurately captured.
  • Oversee the execution of infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
  • Evaluate project performance, identifying and mitigating potential risks promptly.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to manage project budgets and optimize resource use.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies in all projects.
  • Implement and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency.
  • Manage a team of project managers and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to evaluate progress and address issues.
  • Identify and establish relationships with external partners to support project objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure project planning and execution.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools like Primavera or MS Project.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Proficiency in risk management and contingency planning for complex projects.
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex project-related challenges.
  • Experience with financial and budgetary management specific to large projects.
