Job Description
AECOM Middle East are currently seeking a Paralegal, to join our Middle East legal counsel division. Based in Dubai, the Paralegal will support the end market Senior Counsels, and the Regional Chief Counsel on all business matters.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and organize legal documents including NDAs, MOUs, consultancy agreements, subcontracts, and service agreements.
- Support the legal team in managing project-related contracts and ensuring compliance with local laws and international standards (e.g., FIDIC).
- Conduct legal research on regional laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in dispute resolution processes, including arbitration and litigation support.
- Maintain and update legal databases, contract registers, and document management systems.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
- Monitor changes in legislation and advise internal stakeholders on potential impacts.
- Support corporate governance tasks such as board resolutions, company secretarial duties, and licensing renewals.
- Provide administrative support to the legal department, including gathering and relaying information to internal and external clients.
- Perform administrative tasks such as updating spreadsheets, preparing correspondence, completing forms, and maintaining lists.
- Support the preparation of internal project approvals and assist in managing claims and disputes.
- Collaborate with commercial and project teams to protect AECOMs business interests and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree of Law, required from an accredited University.
- 2+ years’ experience in the legal field, ideally within construction or real estate
- As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
