Job Description

As an Operations & Shipping Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services. This position requires a meticulous individual with robust organizational skills, capable of managing the intricate logistical processes necessary to maintain our supply chain's efficiency. From coordinating with suppliers to tracking shipments, your ability to navigate the dynamics of operations and shipping will drive the company's success. You will work cross-functionally with various departments to ensure that all operations and shipping activities are timely, cost-effective, and of the highest quality. Adaptability and proactive problem-solving will be essential in responding to the challenges of a fast-paced and continually changing environment.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and streamline operational workflows to ensure maximum efficiency across shipping procedures.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and compliance with quality standards.
  • Track all shipments and resolve any logistical issues that may arise promptly.
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels and order fulfillment.
  • Implement strategies to optimize shipping costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Oversee the preparation of shipping documents and ensure accuracy in every detail.
  • Analyze shipping and receiving reports to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Ensure all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide status updates and address concerns.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new shipping practices and procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding shipping and delivery professionally and efficiently.
  • Provide detailed reports on operations performance and recommend necessary improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in operations and shipping within a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and logistics best practices.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and database management tools for efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
