Job Description

As an IT Network Engine, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain the organization's computer networks and communication systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and security of the network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks. Your role involves configuring network hardware and software, resolving technical issues, and collaborating with other IT teams to support the organization's overall IT infrastructure.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and design computer networks based on the organization's requirements and growth projections.
  • Install and configure network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Implement security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.
  • Monitor network activity for potential security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.
  • Identify and resolve network-related technical issues and outages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct network performance monitoring and optimization to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Conduct regular network maintenance activities, including firmware upgrades and patch management.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades to keep the infrastructure up-to-date and secure.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and changes.
  • Analyze network performance data and usage patterns to identify areas for improvement and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, such as systems administrators and security specialists, to integrate network solutions into the overall IT infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with network equipment vendors and service providers to procure hardware, software, and services.
  • Provide technical training and support to end-users and other IT staff on network-related topics.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an IT Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or similar role, with expertise in designing and managing computer networks.
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, technologies, and standards (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco, Juniper, HP, and Aruba devices.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools for performance analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluent in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic.
