Job Description

We are looking for an MEP Engineer who will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in buildings. They ensure that these systems operate efficiently, comply with safety standards, and meet the needs of occupants and clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Design and plan HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems to provide comfortable indoor environments.
  • Select appropriate equipment, such as boilers, chillers, and ventilation systems, based on building requirements.
  • Ensure systems meet energy efficiency and sustainability goals.
  • Design electrical systems for power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Calculate electrical loads and select equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and lighting fixtures.
  • Integrate energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources.
  • Design plumbing systems for water supply, drainage, and sewage disposal.
  • Select fixtures, pipes, pumps, and valves to meet building codes and standards.
  • Ensure proper water conservation measures are in place.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into building designs.
  • Ensure proper spatial allocation for MEP systems and avoid clashes with other building components.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for MEP systems.
  • Create construction documents and submit them for approvals.
  • Oversee installation and construction activities to ensure that systems are installed correctly and function as intended.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that MEP systems meet local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Stay updated with industry standards and changes in regulations.
  • Manage MEP projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional engineering licensure (PE) or relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, design principles, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering simulation tools.
  • Problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize system performance.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
  • Project management abilities to oversee MEP projects from conception to completion.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient and sustainable design practices.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and calculations.
  • Prior experience in MEP engineering, construction, or related roles is beneficial.
  • Valid UAE Driving license
