The ELV Senior Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing tasks related to Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and other similar technologies. This role involves handling installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various ELV systems ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational efficiency. The technician must stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and integrate them into current systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians is also a crucial aspect of this role. Responsibilities

  • Install and configure ELV systems including CCTV, access controls, and fire alarms meticulously.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks ensuring all ELV systems function correctly and efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues within ELV systems and execute appropriate solutions.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other staff members effectively.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to facilitate accurate installation proceedings.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards while performing duties.
  • Stay updated on technological developments and integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
  • Perform system performance testing to confirm operational effectiveness and quality assurance.
  • Respond to emergency situations promptly, minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.


Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in ELV system installation and maintenance.
  • Formal education or training in Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Extra Low Voltage systems and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a proven track record of precise, quality installations.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard tools, software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and user manuals for efficient installations.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively to achieve objectives.
