Job Description

As a Medical Sales Representative, your primary role is to connect healthcare providers with the products and services that can best support their patients' needs. You will be instrumental in identifying potential clients and developing relationships with key stakeholders within the medical industry. Your work will involve researching and understanding product specifications, demonstrating products to healthcare professionals, and negotiating contracts to ensure a mutually beneficial agreement. Success in this role requires a balanced mix of scientific knowledge and sales acumen, as you'll be responsible for not only understanding complex medical products but also for articulating their benefits to a varied audience. The role demands drive, commitment, and the ability to manage sales pipelines effectively whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients within the healthcare industry for new business.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to remain informed about the industry's latest trends and changes.
  • Present and demonstrate medical products to healthcare professionals in an engaging manner.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to refine sales strategies.
  • Negotiate terms of sales agreements with clients to achieve profitable outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to network and generate leads.
  • Provide feedback and insights on customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Achieve sales targets and quotas set by the management on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and ethical standards in sales activities.
  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field is required.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or medical devices.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients and attend industry events.
