To oversee the Procurement & Technology portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and compliance with governance standards, while monitoring initiative progress, validating business cases, and ensuring proper documentation and budget approvals.
Key Responsibilities
Provides strategic oversight and direction for the entire portfolio, ensuring alignment with departmental and flydubai’s objectives.
Leads the portfolio review process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on key metrics such as budget, timelines, risks, and outcomes, while providing updates on portfolio status, performance, key milestones, potential roadblocks, and necessary corrective actions.
Verifies and approves all relevant documents and ensure budget approvals are completed before submitting for the final sign-off.
Acts as a liaison between the Chief and departments under their supervision, ensuring smooth communication and timely updates on critical updates.
Collaborates with other departments to identify interdependencies, mitigate risks, and drive synergy across the flydubai portfolio.
Validates all business cases and feasibility studies in coordination with department heads to ensure sound decision-making.
Tracks and manages the overall budget within the portfolio, ensuring compliance with corporate financial governance and budgetary controls, while ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives.
Supports decision-making by providing data-driven analysis and recommendations on key initiatives.
Manages escalations from department heads and other key stakeholders to ensure swift resolution of issues.
Coordinates governance activities between the portfolio and the corporate Project Management Office, ensuring alignment on processes and reporting.
Leads cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment on key initiatives across flydubai.
Documents and administers corporate claims, ensuring proper record-keeping and communication with relevant departments.
Coordinates and updates project statuses to the flydubai corporate office and explores new technologies and efficiency improvements, implementing projects within Technology and Supply chain
Develops and implements measures and metrics tailored to support technology and supply chain improvement projects, analyzing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify key trends and makes recommendations for operational improvements.
Liaises with external stakeholders during the investigation and implementation phases of business initiatives, while monitoring the progress and the efficiency improvement projects and provides updates to senior management.
Identifies potential risks to the CTSC and develops strategies to mitigate these risks and ensures compliance with industry regulations and standards in all business improvement initiatives, ensuring all project initiatives align with flydubais strategic objectives and corporate goals.
Qualifications
Masters Degree (2+ years)
Aviation Business Management Specialization.
Fluent in English
Demonstrable experience in effectively managing projects, with a proven ability to plan, execute, and achieve desired outcomes within specified timelines. Experience in aviation within IT.
7 - 9 years
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
