Job Description

A Business Analyst plays a crucial role in an organization by being a bridge between IT and the business stakeholders. Specializing in assessing and analyzing business processes, a Business Analyst helps an organization improve its efficiency, quality of services, and profitability by providing data-driven insights and solutions. Through detailed data analysis, they detect issues and opportunities, establish requirements, and communicate them clearly to stakeholders and the development team. This role often requires collaboration across different departments and levels within an organization, ensuring smooth execution of projects that meet business goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in project management tools and techniques.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough business performance and process analyses to identify opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including business cases and user stories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the organization’s business objectives and needs.
  • Create detailed reports to track project progress and outcomes efficiently.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and IT to ensure technical compatibility.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs critically.
  • Formulate strategies leveraging metrics to address business challenges effectively.
  • Define and implement project management standards and best practices for consistent improvements.
  • Conduct use-case modeling and specification of user-system interactions professionally.
  • Lead workshops and meetings to facilitate project requirement gathering and validation processes.
  • Ensure that solutions align with business goals and provide measurable value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field essential.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business analysis or related role required.
  • Proficiency in using project management software like JIRA, Trello, or MS Project preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
  • Experience working on complex projects or multi-disciplinary teams advantageous.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP) or similar is highly regarded and desired.
