Job Description

The Logistics Officer is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and managing the complete supply chain process, from procurement of raw materials to ensuring timely delivery of products to end-users. This role demands high organizational and problem-solving skills, combined with a strong understanding of logistics software and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments. The Logistics Officer will work to optimize processes, reduce costs, and ensure that logistics operations support the company’s strategic objectives. This position is also responsible for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, service providers, and customers to ensure seamless operations.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop logistics management strategies that improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and evaluate third-party logistics providers for performance and compliance.
  • Implement and optimize logistics software to track shipments and manage inventories.
  • Facilitate communication between different departments to streamline supply chain processes.
  • Prepare and manage logistics budgets, reports, and forecasts effectively.
  • Work to increase transportation efficiencies and reduce the environmental impact of logistics operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in logistics operations.
  • Identify and resolve logistics-related issues promptly to prevent disruption of services.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of warehouses and other logistics facilities.
  • Plan and coordinate product distribution to meet customer demands efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management, supply chain, or transportation.
  • Strong understanding of logistics software and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
  • Ability to develop cost-effective logistics solutions and strategies promptly.
