Job Description

As a Logistics Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing the storage and distribution of goods, ensuring they are delivered smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee the logistical processes to guarantee that the correct products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will be expected to monitor and manage inventory, transportation routes, and shipping schedules. Your role is critical to the success of the supply chain in meeting customer demands while also minimizing costs. Effective communication with suppliers, retailers, and consumers to achieve highly profitable outcomes is also vital in this role. You will work closely with other departments such as sales, operations, and finance to streamline activities and promote organizational success.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to maintain efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop and optimize logistics management planning and operational strategies.
  • Supervise and manage the performance of logistics personnel effectively.
  • Liaise and negotiate with transport providers to secure competitive rates.
  • Ensure that all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, and ISO requirements.
  • Review and refine logistics processes for better accuracy and service delivery.
  • Manage and maintain inventory accuracy across various distribution channels.
  • Analyze and report on logistical performance using appropriate metrics and KPIs.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with suppliers and support long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee the preparation of logistics reports to management for decision-making.
  • Evaluate logistical issues and provide solutions to increase productivity.
  • Control budgets and allocate resources for supplies and material distribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience in logistics management or related industry operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities to drive solutions.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to manage and inspire teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
  • Proficient understanding of logistics management software and IT applications.
  • Outstanding communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
