Job Description

Logistics Coordinators play a pivotal role in the effective management and efficient movement of goods within a supply chain. They are responsible for ensuring that products are delivered accurately, on time, and in the most cost-efficient manner. A successful Logistics Coordinator must have exceptional organizational and communication skills to coordinate with various departments, suppliers, and clients. The role involves monitoring all aspects of logistics operations from order processing and inventory management to transportation and distribution. This requires a keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with legal regulations and industry standards. Assessing solutions to improve logistics efficiency while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is also crucial in this role. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making swift yet informed decisions is imperative to excel as a Logistics Coordinator.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day shipments and logistics operations efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and transport vendors.
  • Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Manage documentation related to international and domestic shipments accurately.
  • Track, trace, and update the status of shipments in real time.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Identify and resolve logistical issues and discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Analyze logistics data to assess performance and implement optimization solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations concerning shipments.
  • Prepare reports on logistics performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and carriers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
  • Support the logistics team in all administrative aspects of the logistics process.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or relevant field.
  • Proven working experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Detailed knowledge of logistics software and transport management systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations and transportation laws.
