Job Description

A Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in the supply chain management process, responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations of a company. A highly organized and detail-oriented professional, the Logistics Coordinator ensures goods are distributed efficiently, cost-effectively, and timely. This involves coordinating and monitoring supply chain operations, handling logistics transactions, managing customer requirements, and maintaining transaction records. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability to dynamic changes, and knowledge of logistics software systems. Successful candidates will have a blend of operational and communication skills, enabling them to work collaboratively with suppliers, customers, and internal team members to enhance logistics and distribution strategies.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day logistics operations and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all warehouse and logistics transactions.
  • Monitor logistics costs and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain key performance metrics to improve logistics efficiency.
  • Liaise with suppliers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Analyze and resolve issues causing delays in the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal guidelines in logistics operations.
  • Track the entire shipping process to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Support the development of logistics strategies to streamline operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for inventory management and logistics planning.
  • Prepare reports on daily logistics performance and suggest improvements.
  • Utilize logistics software to optimize procurement and distribution processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and industry-related tools.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations in supply chain and logistics.
