Responsibilities

• Design and implement landscape plans according to client specifications and site conditions.
• Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and lawns using various gardening tools and techniques.
• Maintain gardens and landscapes by pruning, trimming, and fertilizing plants regularly.
• Inspect landscapes for health issues and apply treatments to ensure plant vitality.
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment, ensuring all tools are in safe working condition.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their aesthetic preferences and gardening goals.
• Provide advice and guidance on plant care, landscape design, and maintenance methods.
• Manage hardscape installations, including pathways, patios, and water features effectively.
• Undertake soil management techniques to improve plant growth and landscape longevity.
• Ensure compliance with best landscaping practices and environmental sustainability standards.
• Order landscaping materials as required and manage inventory and resource allocation.
• Document procedures and maintain records of work executed for client review or future planning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Landscape Gardener or in a similar architecture role.
• Extensive knowledge of gardening tools and equipment with practical experience.
• Strong understanding of plant care techniques, plant species, and design trends.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team on larger projects.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting landscape design plans and blueprints.
• Competence in managing time and resources for maximum landscaping efficiency.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various project sites as required.
