Landscape Designer (225-713)

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and practical landscape designs for residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct site analyses and assessments to inform design decisions and proposals.
• Create detailed and accurate drawings, schematics, and 3D models using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
• Incorporate sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices into all design projects.
• Prepare detailed project proposals and presentations for client approval and feedback.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to implement designs successfully.
• Oversee the installation and construction process to ensure design specifications are met.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plant species, materials, and landscape technologies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source appropriate materials and plants.
• Ensure compliance with local zoning laws, regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Provide ongoing project management support and evaluate project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Landscape Designer or in a similar role.
• Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and related design software programs.
• Strong understanding of landscaping, horticulture, and environmental design principles.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with clients and team members.
• Ability to work creatively and collaboratively to deliver optimal landscape designs.
• Knowledge of sustainable landscape practices and environmental regulations is highly desirable.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and aesthetically pleasing designs.
