Job Description

The Laboratory Analyst is a critical role responsible for conducting a variety of laboratory tests and analyses that support the quality control and assurance processes within the organization. This position requires a keen eye for detail, robust analytical skills, and the ability to work with precision and accuracy. The Laboratory Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of safety and efficacy before they reach the market. Individuals in this position are called upon to utilize advanced analytical instruments and methodologies to conduct tests, document results, and report findings. This position is vital in maintaining the integrity of the company's products and services, hence requiring a commitment to upholding the highest standards of laboratory practices.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses and experiments following standard protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and results.
  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams regarding product quality issues.
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods to improve testing efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols in the laboratory environment.
  • Analyze data and compile reports on laboratory findings for senior management review.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of laboratory technical issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory operations and processes.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on laboratory best practices and technologies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Provide support in research and development projects within the laboratory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • Proven experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of standard laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
  • Experience with laboratory analytical instruments, such as HPLC and GC-MS.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills for data interpretation.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for report documentation.
  • Proficient in using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for record keeping.
