Job Description

As an IT Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to a variety of issues related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Your primary duties will include diagnosing and troubleshooting technical problems, installing and configuring computer hardware and software, ensuring security and privacy of systems, maintaining technical documentation, and providing training and support to end-users. You will need to have a strong understanding of computer systems and networks, excellent problem-solving skills, great attention to detail, and effective communication skills. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, along with relevant certifications, is typically required for this role. Experience in customer service and technical support is advantageous.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, including diagnosing and resolving network issues.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure data security and integrity.
  • Assist with software and hardware upgrades, patches, and installations.
  • Document and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and IT inventory.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and vendors to implement new technologies and solutions.
  • Provide training and guidance to users on using IT systems effectively.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support or IT helpdesk role.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
