Job Description

As an IT Support Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the technology infrastructure of our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our IT systems operate efficiently, which involves providing technical support, problem-solving, and addressing IT-related issues in a timely manner. You will engage with both hardware and software components, ensuring minimal disruptions to the business by preemptively identifying and resolving potential system issues. Working alongside a dedicated team of IT professionals, you will directly contribute to the overall productivity by ensuring high availability and reliability of IT resources. This role requires a patient and customer-focused approach, as you will be interacting with individuals across all levels of the organization, delivering quality support and guidance to resolve technical issues efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Ensure timely resolution of user reported issues and provide status updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT processes and service requests.
  • Assist in the management of network infrastructure and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and other IT professionals for service improvements and solutions.
  • Deploy updates, patches, and new software to maintain system security and integrity.
  • Monitor IT systems and services to identify potential issues before they arise.
  • Provide training to staff on new software applications and IT policies.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in IT projects and collaborate with teams to implement new technologies.
  • Support remote workforce by addressing connectivity and security challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Engineer or similar technical role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to assist users effectively.
  • Familiarity with network management and server maintenance is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
