Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an essential part of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing prompt and effective technical assistance to our staff and clients, ensuring that all IT-related issues are resolved efficiently. You will handle queries on technical issues, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, and maintain our IT systems to ensure that our everyday operations proceed without interruption. We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving skills, great communication capabilities, and a team-oriented mindset. Your contribution will play a critical role in the smooth operation and success of our organization.


Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support and answer user inquiries regarding IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on computers and other devices.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, software, and peripherals as needed.
  • Maintain and regularly update IT documentation and inventory records.
  • Assist in network management, including monitoring and configuring network hardware.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and fixes.
  • Educate end-users about basic IT knowledge and preventative measures.
  • Perform regular backup operations to ensure data safety and recovery capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and IT security standards.
  • Analyze user needs and recommend appropriate hardware and software solutions.
  • Monitor helpdesk ticketing system and ensure SLAs are met consistently.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support IT needs outside of normal hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience in an IT support or technical support role for two years.
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and application troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Linux operating systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified are a plus.
