Instrumentation and Control Inspector (225-713)

As an Instrumentation and Control Inspector, you play a critical role in ensuring that all instrumentation and control systems within industrial facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established standards and regulations. Your technical knowledge and keen eye for detail will be essential in inspecting, testing, and maintaining various control systems and instrumentation used for monitoring and controlling industrial processes. These can include pressure meters, temperature indicators, and other critical equipment within manufacturing plants or processing environments. Your responsibility extends to ensuring that these systems are reliable and that any issues are identified and rectified promptly, thus minimizing downtime and maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate instrumentation and control systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Conduct routine maintenance to preemptively resolve potential system failures and malfunctions.
• Calibrate instruments and controls to align with safety and quality guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive inspection reports detailing findings and necessary repairs.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement updated inspection protocols.
• Ensure all control systems comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
• Perform troubleshooting and rectification of faults in instrumentation and control equipment.
• Oversee the installation of new instrumentation ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Develop and enforce stringent quality control measures for all instrumentation processes.
• Provide training and guidance to junior staff on instrumentation and control procedures.
• Evaluate the performance of control systems and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Monitor the latest technological advancements to integrate efficient solutions into existing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related technical field is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of experience in instrumentation and control inspection.
• Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation, including its components and functions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex instrumentation issues.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance related to instrumentation control.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with various teams and documenting reports.
