The Housekeeping (Room Attendant) plays a crucial role in providing top-notch hospitality services by ensuring a clean, welcoming, and tidy environment for guests. This position is integral in maintaining the hotel’s high standards of cleanliness and contributing to a memorable guest experience. The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and organizing guestrooms and public areas efficiently. Attention to detail is critical as you will need to follow specific operational procedures to ensure each room is consistently prepared to meet the hotel's exemplary standards. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated team, where communication and cooperation are key to meeting and exceeding guest expectations. Additionally, Room Attendants may occasionally assist with special projects and organize forgotten personal items for the convenience of guests. Professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to upholding the utmost levels of cleanliness and hygiene are a must in this role. A desire to create a seamless and enjoyable stay for every guest is essential, aligning with our hotel's commitment to exceptional service.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms, ensuring high hygiene standards.
  • Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries daily.
  • Organize and stock housekeeping carts with adequate supplies and equipment.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
  • Restock guest rooms with amenities such as toiletries, minibar items, and coffee supplies.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, respecting all privacy and security measures.
  • Inspect all vacated rooms to ensure standards are met before guest check-in.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information and hotel property.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
  • Perform deep cleaning of rooms and public areas as part of regular rotation duties.
  • Assist with linen inventory by counting and sorting linens accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior cleaning experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure rooms meet cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to follow instructions and efficiently complete tasks independently.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to lift and move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
