As a Housekeeping Staff Supervisor, you will take on the pivotal role of leading and managing the housekeeping team to ensure a clean, welcoming, and organized environment for all patrons and staff. You will be responsible for setting high cleaning standards, developing and implementing efficient cleaning schedules, and inspiring a team to adhere to best practices. The candidate should be detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a high standard of hygiene and sanitation across all areas. Superior communication skills are necessary as you will be liaising with management, handling customer inquiries, and resolving any issues. The position requires a proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to foster a positive and productive team atmosphere. You will be expected to troubleshoot problems, manage inventories, and contribute to the overall operational success of the housekeeping department.


Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff efficiently.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce guidelines for cleaning procedures and standards.
  • Inspect work to ensure all cleaning tasks have been completed to specifications.
  • Train, mentor, and support new and existing housekeeping staff members regularly.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment effectively.
  • Schedule housekeeping staff shifts that align with operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all cleaning processes.
  • Respond promptly to requests or complaints received from patrons or staff.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align housekeeping activities seamlessly.
  • Track and report on cleaning activities and departmental performance analytics.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in housekeeping.
  • Lead regular meetings to address issues and enhance team communication.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in housekeeping is essential.
  • Strong leadership abilities and organizational skills are required for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills in speaking and writing are necessary.
  • Ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds is needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays is crucial.
  • Proficient in using housekeeping management software and tools effectively.
  • An eye for detail and commitment to high cleaning standards are essential.
