Job Overview

The Payroll Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful implementation and operation of our local payroll product. This position requires a deep understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements across the UAE, KSA, and Egypt. Other GCC payroll experience will be highly valued. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll operations, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees in the specified regions.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for GCC countries - UAE and KSA is must have.
  • Develop and implement efficient payroll procedures and workflows to optimize productivity and accuracy.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, benefits, and tax-related matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their payroll requirements and provide necessary support.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and product departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll systems and data.
  • Stay updated on payroll industry trends and best practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll reporting and analytics.
  • Participate in payroll system implementations and upgrades.

Qualifications

  • Overall 7+ years experience with at least 3 years experience in managing teams
  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on payroll experience in the UAE, KSA and Egypt with at least 2 years in management.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements for the specified countries.
  • Proven experience with payroll systems and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Payroll certification (e.g., CPP, FPC).
  • Experience with payroll outsourcing or payroll software implementation.
  • Knowledge of multiple ERP systems.
