Job Description

The role of a Fuel Station Supervisor is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the fuel station facility. As a leader and manager, the supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fuel station's operations, including customer service, inventory management, safety protocols, staff training, and financial performance. The supervisor ensures that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures, whilst striving to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This position demands a proactive individual who can manage a fast-paced work environment, solve problems independently, and communicate effectively with both team members and customers. The success of the station rests significantly on the supervisor’s ability to motivate their team, maintain operational standards, and adhere to health and safety regulations.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
  • Lead, train, and mentor staff to maintain high performance levels.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and conducting regular stock checks.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Implement and enforce company policies and procedures effectively among staff.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial transactions and prepare reports on sales and expenditures.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of station needs.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and arrange for necessary repairs of equipment.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and make informed business decisions.
  • Coordinate with security to maintain a safe and secure station environment.
  • Prepare work schedules and delegate tasks to ensure smooth operation of the station.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role preferably in a retail or service environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • In-depth understanding of inventory management and stock control procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using computer software for data entry and report generation.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to fuel storage and disposal.
