Job Description

The Front Desk Agent serves as the hospitality ambassador for an establishment, embodying the first impression that guests have upon their arrival. They are integral to maintaining an efficient and welcoming front desk, ensuring that all guests receive unparalleled service and assistance. As a conduit for communication between guests and various departments, the Front Desk Agent is responsible for facilitating smooth operations and resolving any emerging problems. They possess excellent interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail, offering personalized interactions and fostering a friendly environment. In this role, you will play a crucial part in making guests feel at home and ensuring their experience is memorable, from check-in to check-out and beyond.


Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel front desk.
  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage online and phone reservations and provide information about room availability.
  • Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain records of guest information and preferences in the reservation system.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are cleaned and ready for guests.
  • Assist guests with luggage and provide directions to various hotel facilities.
  • Process payments from guests and handle billing inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Notify maintenance staff of any issues reported by guests during their stay.
  • Monitor and respond to emails from guests and potential customers.
  • Collaborate with other hotel staff to provide a seamless guest experience.
  • Ensure a clean and organized reception area at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Front Desk Agent or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management software and MS Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential for success.
  • Customer service orientation with a strong ability to handle diverse situations.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
