A Freight Forwarding Sales Executive is an essential role within the logistics and shipping sector, responsible for fostering strong client relationships to drive business growth. This position requires a proactive individual capable of identifying new business opportunities and understanding client needs to provide customized shipping solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the freight forwarding industry, including expertise in air, ocean, and ground transportation. They should also possess excellent negotiation skills, capable of closing deals and maximizing profitability. A successful Freight Forwarding Sales Executive must be able to navigate complex logistical challenges, maintain a high level of customer service, and achieve sales targets consistently. Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in freight forwarding market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with operations team to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Negotiate rates and services with carriers to maximize profit margins.
  • Develop tailored shipping solutions based on specific client needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network and promote services.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to company growth objectives.
  • Coordinate with finance department to ensure timely billing and payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in freight forwarding sales or logistics.
  • Strong understanding of air, ocean, and ground transportation services.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in competitive environments.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software tools.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry conferences as needed.
