Freelance Podcast Producer

A podcast and music label is seeking a freelance producer to manage both video and audio editing for podcast episodes. The show features artist interviews, is recorded in a studio, and typically runs between 30 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. Each recording uses a two-camera setup to capture both guest and host, and the goal is to deliver polished episodes for Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music. In addition to long-form edits, the producer will also create reels and shorts tailored for Instagram and TikTok to promote the podcast. This is a fully remote freelance role, starting as a single project with the potential for ongoing collaboration.

Deliverables

• Edit full podcast episodes (video and audio) for Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music.
• Sync and switch between two-camera angles to create smooth, engaging edits.
• Mix and balance audio tracks to ensure professional sound quality.
• Create promotional reels and shorts optimized for Instagram and TikTok.
• Deliver final edits in the correct formats for each platform.
• Ensure the podcast’s light-hearted and fun tone is maintained throughout.

Requirements

• Proven experience in podcast production, including both video and audio editing.
• Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Audition, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of social media trends and vertical video formats.
• Ability to produce engaging reels/shorts for promotional use.
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and tone suitable for interviews.
• Reliable communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Availability to deliver within agreed timelines, with potential for ongoing collaboration.
