Job Description

The role of Financial Controller is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity and efficient financial management within a company. As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for managing the financial actions of a company, including tracking cash flow, financial planning, analyzing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, and proposing corrective actions. You will work closely with senior management to develop strategies and create plans for the long-term financial goals of the company. An ideal candidate for this position is someone who is detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a deep understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles, as well as the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the company’s financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements consistently.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies for cost management.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans consistent with the company’s short and long-term goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors to provide valuable financial insights.
  • Collaborate with executives to formulate effective business strategies and forecasts.
  • Ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate external audits and maintain effective communication with auditors.
  • Manage the financial operations of subsidiaries and international branches, if applicable.
  • Develop and implement internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Supervise and manage finance department staff, including ongoing performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, or similar) highly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex financial data.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and GAAP standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong leadership capabilities.
