Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team in the UAE. The Finance Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing financial operations within the insurance brokerage sector. As a key member of our organization, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and success of our operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the financial activities of our insurance brokerage business in the UAE.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and compliance.
  • Timely, accurate and reliable financial data available, as and when needed
  • Financial compliance with all local laws and regulations
  • A strong finance team that is a respected partner for the rest of the organisation
  • Company assets are protected, and avoidable losses are prevented
  • A fit for purpose internal control environment
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas of improvement, and provide recommendations to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including financial statements, budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and reports required by the regulated authorities.
  • Conduct financial risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's financial position.
  • Manage cash flow, credit control, and financial transactions to ensure optimal cash management and minimize financial risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as underwriters and claims teams, to ensure financial processes align with insurance industry regulations and requirements.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, and insurance providers, to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.

  • Membership in ACCA/CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Proven working experience in the insurance brokerage industry, preferably in a finance management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance industry practices, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
