Job Description

The role of Finance Assistant Manager is pivotal within any organization, requiring a blend of analytical, leadership, and management skills. The ideal candidate will support the finance department by working closely with senior finance managers and the finance team to ensure the efficient management of financial transactions, reporting, and strategy formulation. This position requires someone with a keen attention to detail, capable of multitasking, and adept at navigating complex financial situations. They must possess a deep understanding of financial tools and software, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with different departments to ensure procedurally accurate financial operations. A successful Finance Assistant Manager will also be instrumental in assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and crafting insightful analyses that inform key business decisions.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and management of internal financial statements and reports.
  • Support the development and implementation of organizational budget processes.
  • Collaborate with department heads to analyze variances and address financial discrepancies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance staff to foster a productive team environment.
  • Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and policies.
  • Develop and manage financial analyses to support key business decisions and strategies.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchases, and payments.
  • Coordinate audits by preparing required documentation and liaising with external auditors.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in financial operations.
  • Prepare detailed forecasts and financial models to inform budgeting activities.
  • Report financial performance and insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • At least 4 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in financial software, particularly ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience supervising junior team members.
  • Solid understanding of financial regulations, standards, and compliance practices.
