Job Description

A Field Sales Manager is integral to a company's sales operations, playing a crucial role in driving revenue growth and customer acquisition. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent management skills, capable of leading a team of sales representatives to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base. The Field Sales Manager operates primarily outside the office, interacting directly with clients and overseeing sales activities in various territories. This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. The ideal candidate will have prior field sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. They must also be adept at analyzing market trends, developing sales strategies, and implementing practical solutions to maximize sales performance.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of sales representatives to achieve sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support and evaluate the sales team’s performance.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to sales representatives to enhance their skills.
  • Coordinate with marketing and product development teams to align strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales team performance and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all sales activities.
  • Collaborate with management to forecast sales and set performance goals.
  • Identify new sales opportunities and actively pursue business development initiatives.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Field Sales Manager or similar sales leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing successful sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective sales strategies.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in various field locations.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
