Elevator Erector

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical manuals accurately for efficient installation.
• Install and assemble elevator components such as motors, gears, cables, and control systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure elevators are functioning optimally and safely.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions in a timely manner.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and building codes to ensure compliance and safety.
• Test installed elevators to confirm operational readiness and safety compliance.
• Document service actions and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
• Communicate effectively with builders, contractors, and clients to coordinate installation efforts.
• Stay updated with industry developments and emerging technologies for continuous improvement.
• Order necessary parts and supplies to carry out installations and repairs efficiently.
• Provide clear instruction and guidance to junior team members on installation procedures.
• Manage project schedules to meet deadlines and minimize downtime for clients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in elevator technology preferred.
• Previous experience in elevator installation or a related mechanical field is essential.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and technical manuals for effective execution.
• Effective communication skills to work well in a team and with clients.
• Ability to manage physically demanding work on-site, including climbing and lifting.
• Familiarity with various elevator types and related safety standards and regulations.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently to resolve complex issues efficiently.
