Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical engineering projects, specifically within the construction sector, including large-scale villa developments.
• Oversee and approve detailed electrical designs, schematics, and layouts for residential construction projects, ensuring compliance with local codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor installation quality, ensure adherence to electrical design plans, and verify compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly within the overall project framework.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
• Manage the preparation and maintenance of comprehensive project documentation including design calculations, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
• Supervise procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery aligned with project schedules.
• Lead system testing and commissioning activities to ensure functionality, safety, and efficiency prior to final handover.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and site teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement energy-efficient strategies and smart solutions in residential electrical designs.
• Stay abreast of emerging electrical technologies and construction trends, applying innovative practices to improve project outcomes.

Job Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 10–15 years of proven experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on construction industry projects and villa developments.
• Extensive experience in electrical design, power distribution, lighting systems, and integration with MEP services.
• Solid knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices relevant to residential projects.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with green building standards and energy-efficient design principles is preferred.
