Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance work related to generators and backup systems during power outages.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices like ohmmeters and voltmeters.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.
• Coordinate with other professionals to ensure proper installation and safety standards.
• Conduct regular checks and preventive maintenance to ensure longevity and efficiency.
• Provide customer support and educate clients on safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Keep updated with electrical standards and state regulations to ensure compliance and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safe working conditions at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an electrician, with a strong portfolio of projects handled.
• Valid certification and licensing as an electrician in the applicable state.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams accurately.
• Familiarity with national and local electrical codes and safety regulations.
