Job Description

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that projects fall within the proposed budget and timeline. The incumbent will coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that each project runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. The Construction Project Manager will also handle all aspects of project planning, resource allocation, and risk mitigation while maintaining communication with clients to provide updates and manage expectations. A successful candidate will exhibit excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and substantive experience in the construction field.


Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, detailing phases from start to finish with clear objectives.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to manage project timelines efficiently.
  • Ensure assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to achieve desired construction outcomes.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly.
  • Prepare regular project reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with vendors and subcontractors diligently.
  • Analyze and manage project risks to minimize impact on project deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, and safety requirements on site.
  • Lead project meetings to review progress and address any project bottlenecks.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and propose changes as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven working experience as a construction project manager for a minimum of 5 years.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management software.
  • Excellent knowledge of safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance in construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams toward successful project delivery.
  • Strong time management skills with an ability to multi-task in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communication skills, with proficiency in managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and cost control measures to maximize resource utilization.
