Role Overview

We are seeking a Commis Chef with a passion for learning and developing in a professional restaurant kitchen. The Commis Chef will support the section chefs, assisting in preparation, cooking, and ensuring restaurant-quality standards are met at all times. 

Contract type: Permanent. Start date: September 2025.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist CDPs in preparing and cooking dishes across hot, cold, grill, or sauce sections.
• Carry out mise en place and assist in plating under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
• Learn advanced cooking techniques and presentation skills.
• Uphold HACCP standards and food safety protocols.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring stock rotation.
• Be proactive in supporting the kitchen team during busy service hours.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen (preferred).
• Culinary diploma or relevant training (advantageous).
• Basic knowledge of professional kitchen operations.
• Strong willingness to learn, with attention to detail and discipline.
• Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
