Core Accountabilities

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/CAD drawings along with the ability to interpret the specs as well as GD &T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing) call-outs.
  • Analyze and interpret drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, and identify appropriate measuring instruments as required.
  • Product verification by conforming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to the concerned.
  • Perform Incoming/In-process Inspections and Final Inspections, as assigned.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; input data into various databases such as SPC charts.
  • Ability to program CMM Machine to perform inspection using Calypso and PC-DMIS softwares.
  • Analyze CMM outputs and measurement data and make recommendations on adjustments and\or corrections.
  • Work with Project Management and Quality Engineers to determine quality requirements on existing and new projects.
  • Assist in coordinating the maintenance, repair, and calibration of precision measurement instruments.
  • Execute all assigned tasks in full compliance to HSE policies, established processes, rules, and SOPs .

Experience & Educational Qualifications

  • Diploma in Mechanical engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Minimum relevant 3 years of experience in mechanical precision industry.
  • CMM/programming experience is a must at an advanced level.
  • Experience in using various metrology equipment and calibrations.
  • Experience with CALYPSO and PC-DMIS and associated programs such as SPC softwares.

Key Skills

  • Able to use high precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, profile projectors, video-measuring device, etc.
  • Familiar with quality basic tools.
  • Good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles (GD&T).
  • Computes skills, word and Excel.
